Ropa Vieja

  1. In a 4 quart slow cooker mix ingredients for the sauce.
  2. Heat oil in large skillet over med-high heat.
  3. Brown steak well on both sides.
  4. About 5 minutes.
  5. Add onions, peppers and browned steak to the sauce.
  6. Be sure steak is covered with the sauce.
  7. Cook until meat is fork tender.
  8. 10 - 12 hours on low, 5-6 hours on high or 3 hours at simmer on the stove.
  9. Remove meat to plate.
  10. Shred with two forks.
  11. Return to pot and stir.
  12. Serve over rice.
