Crisp Bacon Muffins

  1. Saut?
  2. bacon until crisp, and finely chopped.
  3. Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together.
  4. Add the bacon.
  5. Combine the egg, milk and bacon fat, and blend into the first mixture.
  6. Pour into buttered muffin tins, one-third full, and bake in a hot oven at 425 degrees F. for 15 to 20 minutes.
