My Dog's Food

  1. Prepare the brown rice and rolled oats as directed on the package.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Peel, cube and boil potatoes, drain and add to rice and oats.
  4. Bake sweet potatoes, mash and add to rice and oats.
  5. Scramble eggs.
  6. Take egg shells, bake at 350 for 5 min to dry them out and scrush.
  7. Add eggs and shells to mixture.
  8. Steam carrots, green beans, and squash until 'mushy'.
  9. I recommend using the ziplock steam bags because they retain the nutrients.
  10. Puree the veggies with the chicken broth and add veggies to the mixture.
  11. Cook the lean meat (bake, pan fry, microwave) and DO NOT DRAIN FAT, add to mix.
  12. Allow the mix to cool.
  13. Slice the seeded apple (apple seeds are toxic to dogs-- make sure there are NO seeds!)
  14. into very small bits.
  15. Add the apple, the garlic powder and all of the cottage cheese to the mixture and serve.
  16. Leftovers need to be kept in the fridge and used or frozen within 8 days.
