Steamed Bread Made in Parchment Paper

  1. Combine the pancake mix with the milk, syrup, (and egg yolk, if adding), and beat with an egg beater.
  2. Place a square sheet of parchment paper in a gratin dish, pour in 1/3 of the batter (about a ladleful), sprinkle in raisins (if you like), and wrap in parchment paper.
  3. (Refer to Step 10).
  4. Microwave each one for 2 minutes, and it is done!
  5. (It will be ready in about 1 minute 10 seconds if you cook it at 1000 W!)
  6. I topped them with stewed sweet potatoes.
  7. So tasty.
  8. I used instant coffee and chocolate chips to make my daughter's favorite cafe mocha steamed bread.
  9. I forgot to take a picture, but when I mixed syrup into user "Rinrin"'s matcha bread to make a marble pattern, it was tasty!
  10. I mixed powdered cheese into the batter, and added little bits of processed cheese.

  15. : Use a plastic storage container similar to a ziplock storage bag, make it in a Kureha microwave, on the "steamed vegetable" setting.
  16. This microwave has such a function, but adding a small amount of water to the container and microwaving for 1 minute will produce piping hot and soft steamed bread.
  17. Tip for wrapping the parchment paper Using a square sheet of parchment paper, first, bring one of the corners of the front edge to the opposite corner of the back edges together, then fold them two-three times.
  18. Then, roll up both ends like a candy wrapper.
