Texas Beef Brisket

  1. heat oven to 325F.
  2. Trim some of the fat from the beef.
  3. Rub surface of beef with salt, pepper and liquid smoke, then onion and garlic.
  4. Place beef, fat side up in shallow roasting pan.
  5. Mix water and lime juice; pour over beef.
  6. Cover and bake 4 to 5 hours or until beef is very tender.
  7. Drain.
  8. Shred beef, using 2 forks.
