- 12 lb sweet butter
- 12 lb flour
- 8 eggs
- 12 lb powdered sugar
- 1 lb walnuts
- 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Mix the butter, flour, and egg yolks in a mixing bowl into a dough and refrigerate overnight.
- Keep your egg whites.
- Shell and Grind walnuts.
- Stiffly beat egg whites.
- Mix walnuts and egg whites with remaining ingredients.
- This is your filling.
- Form approximately walnut size balls of dough and roll very thin.
- Spread about a tablespoon of filling on the dough.
- Gently roll up the dough and pinch the ends.
- Place seam down on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake 10-15 mins at 400 degrees.
- After baking, roll in powdered sugar when they are cool enough to handle.
