Baked Mostaccioli Recipe

  1. Cook mostaccioli till al dente in boiling salted water.
  2. Drain and set aside.
  3. In skillet, combine meat, sausages, onion, green pepper and garlic.
  4. cook breaking up meat, till meat is browned.
  5. Drain off fat.
  6. To the meat, add in all other ingredients, except egg and cheeses.
  7. Bring meat sauce to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat.
  9. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 min, stirring occasionally.
  10. meanwhile, combine egg and cheeses.
  11. To assemble, stir cooked pasta into meat sauce.
  12. Place half in 1 qt buttered baking dish.
  13. Spread cheese mix proportionately over the top.
  14. cover with remaining pasta.
  15. Bake, covered, at 350 F. for 30 to 35 min or possibly till cooked through.
  16. Serves 4.
