Blondie's Grandma's Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup self rising flour
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup pecan pieces
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted and cooled
- 1 1/2 cup (9 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 9 inch refrigerated pie crust, fitted into a 9 inch glass pie plate and crimped (You can also use your own homemade pie crust which is what my Grandma did)
- Preheat oven to 325F.
- Place sugar, flour, butter, eggs, pecans, and chocolate in a medium bowl.
- Stir with a spatula until thoroughly combined.
- Pour into pie crust.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until filling is puffed and set.
- Let cool, then chill in the refrigerator.
- Allow pie to come to room temperature before serving.
