Thick and Creamy Hummus

  1. Rinse chickpeas under cold water in a colander, discarding liquid in can.
  2. Place chickpeas into food processor.
  3. Add remaining ingredients to food processor and blend until smooth.
  4. If mixture looks too thick, add a bit more water and/or olive oil, one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Note: consistency will be thicker than the typical store bought version.
  6. One combined, taste and alter seasonings to your taste preference.
  7. Serve with warm whole wheat pita bread and a side of vegetables!
