Breakfast Waffles With Nutmeg Recipe
- 2 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp grnd nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 c. 2% lowfat milk
- 2 x Large eggs separated
- 6 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions.
- Sift flour, sugar, baking pwdr, nutmeg and salt into a bowl.
- Combine lowfat milk, egg yolks and oil till well mixed.
- Pour into flour mix and mix till just combined.
- Beat egg whites to soft peaks and fold into batter.
- Cook waffles according to manufacturer's directions.
- Serve with butter, maple syrup or possibly honey.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
