Olga'S Wontons With Crab And Cheese
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/4 c. thinly sliced garlic chive or regular chives
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 lb. shelled cooked crab
- 1 pkg. wonton skins
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 c. red wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. shredded ginger
- In small bowl, beat cream cheese, sesame oil, soy sauce, and pepper until smooth.
- Mix in chives and crab.
- Place a wonton skin on a flat surface.
- Mount 1 teaspoon filling in 1 corner.
- Fold that corner over filling and roll to tuck point under.
- Moisten the 2 side corners with egg and bring together, overlapping slightly. Press to seal.
- Place all wontons on slightly floured baking sheet and cover while remaining wontons are made.
- Can chill up to 8 hours.
- Deep fry wontons in 350u0b0 oil until golden brown, 1 minute or more.
- Keep in warm oven at 200u0b0 until all are cooked.
- Serve with plum sauce or vinaigrette made of last 3 ingredients..
