Cinnamon Bread
- 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup white flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 4 tablespoons dry dry buttermilk
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 13 cup sugar
- 14 cup pecans, chopped
- Preheat over to 350 degrees.
- beat together sugar, butter and egg.
- add in buttermilk powder.
- in another bowl mix flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- alternate adding water and flour mixture to butter mixture until all ingredients are incorporated.
- mix 1/3 cup of sugar with 2 tablespoons of cinnamon - this will give you approximately 7 1/2 tablespoon overall.
- Pour 1/3 of the batter in a 9 x 5 bread pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spay.
- sprinkle 2 tablespoons of cinnamon mixture over batter.
- Repeat steps 7 & 8 two more times, but use the all remaining cinnamon on top of bread.
- Sprinkle pecans on top of cinnamon mixture & lightly press into batter.
- Spray top of bread with non-stick cooking spray.
- Bake for 45 - 50 minutes or until tooth pick inserted into center of bread comes out clean.
