Spicy Tomato Sauce

  1. Heat oil over medium-low heat.
  2. Add garlic and cook about 30 seconds.
  3. Add your onion and cook until softened about 3 minutes.
  4. Add wine, tomato, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer; cook until thickened, about 45 minutes.
  6. Add basil and parsley and continue cooking 2 minutes more.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Puree mixture using a food mill or a blender.
