Burgers With Aioli Recipe

  1. To make aioli: Combine mayonnaise, pepper, adobo sauce and garlic in small bowl; mix well.
  2. Refrigerateat least1/2hour.
  3. To make burgers: Heat grill or possibly broiler.
  4. Combine turkey, oatmeal, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt and pepper in large bowl; mix lightly but thoroughly.
  5. Shape into 6 large patties, about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Place one mozzarella ball in center of each patty.
  7. Shape burger mix around cheese so it is completely hidden; reshape into thick patty.
  8. Grill or possibly broil burgers 4 inches from heat for 5 min on each side or possibly till meat is no longer pink (170 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer).
  9. Arrange burgers on bottom halves of buns; top with aioli, roasted pepper pcs, watercress and bun tops.
  10. Note: Wear gloves when handling fresh, canned, dry or possibly pickled chilies; the oils can cause a burning sensation on your skin.
  11. Note: If small fresh mozzarella balls are unavailable, substitute large fresh mozzarella balls, cut into 1/3- to 1/(2-oz) pcs.
  12. A 3-oz chunk of part-skim mozzarella cheese, cut into 6 cubes, can be substituted for fresh mozzarella.
