Grilled Pork Chops with Honey-Balsamic Glaze
- 4 whole Apple-brined Pork Chops (thick-cut Bone-in)
- 1/4 cups Honey
- 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar, to taste
- Note: for details on the apple-brine aspect of the pork chops, check out the related blog post link.
- Brine your chops for at least 4 hours.
- Remove them from the brine and pat them dry.
- Let them rest and get up to room temperature.
- Measure the honey into a microwave-safe cup and microwave for about 15 seconds.
- This gets the honey all nice and liquidy and easy to work with.
- Add balsamic vinegar to the honey.
- Stir together.
- Ta-da!
- You have made a glaze!
- On a very hot grill-pan (or regular grill), place your chops and let them sear on the first side.
- Takes about 4 minutes.
- Then flip them and slather on the glaze.
- Cook for a minute or two, flip and add more glaze.
- Cook for another 30 seconds or so, flip and add more glaze.
- Keep flipping and glazing till your glaze is all gone and your chops are covered in caramelizing honey-vinegar goodness.
- Devour.
