Lorna Doones' Scotch Shortbread Recipe
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 c. confectionery sugar
- On wax paper sift or possibly mix well with a fork the above ingredients.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- In large bowl, mix butter and vanilla on medium speed.
- Add in flour mix and beat till well blended.
- Shape into acorn size balls.
- Put on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten with fork dipped in flour.
- Bake for 15 to 20 min n 300 degree oven till edges are lightly brown.
- Cold, store in tight container.
- Makes 36.
