Buttery Brow Sugar and Irish Whiskey Poached Bananas
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar light, packed
- 1/2 cup irish whiskey
- 4 large bananas peeled and halved lengthwise
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the butter until it melts.
- Add the brown sugar and pour in the whiskey.
- Bring to a boil and cook until sugar dissolves.
- Place bananas to the skillet and simmer until bananas are tender and glazed with the syrup, turning over bananas once or twice in order to be evenly coated.
- Serve with ice cream, frozen yoghurt or frozen pie.
