Chicken Noodle Casserole Recipe
- 2 c. noodles
- 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 2 c. diced cooked chicken
- 1 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 sprigs parsley, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 c. warm chicken stock
- 3 tbsp. chicken fat
- Cook noodles in 2 qts boiling water, drain.
- Alternate noodles, mushrooms and chicken in a well greased casserole.
- Sprinkle each layer with bread crumbs, chopped onions, parsley, salt and pepper.
- Pour warm stock over all, top with crumbs.
- Dot with fat.
- Bake uncovered in moderate oven at 350 degrees till top layer of crumbs is golden, about 30 min.
- Serves 6.
