Southern Chicken Pie & Savory Pastry Recipe

  1. Heat butter in 3-qt saucepan; add in flour, salt and pepper.
  2. Stir till smooth.
  3. Cook 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add in lowfat milk and broth.
  5. Cook over medium heat till thick and bubbly.
  6. Stir in chicken, sausage and peas.
  7. Pour into 8 x 8-inch baking dish.
  8. Cover with Savory Pastry.
  9. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 min.
