Midwestern Butter Bean Chili Recipe
- 1 pound grnd pork
- 1 c. minced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 (16 ounce.) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (16 ounce.) can butter beans
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 2 (4 ounce.) cans diced chili peppers
- 1 tbsp. chili pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dry basil, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper
- Cook pork, onion and garlic till meat is brown and onion is tender; drain off fat.
- Stir in tomatoes, butter beans, tomato sauce, chili peppers, chili pwdr, sugar, salt, basil, black pepper and red pepper.
- Bring mix to boiling, reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 30 min.
