Gluten Free French Fried Onions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together milk, lemon juice, salt and sliced onions.
  2. Stir and toss onions and allow to soak for a few minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, place all flours and salt into a large Ziploc bag.
  4. Heat the oil on medium/high heat (until it pops when a drop of water is added).
  5. Once oil is heated, toss a few of the onions in the flour mixture then place in the oil.
  6. Fry for a few minutes on each side until crispy.
  7. Watch them carefully so they do not get overcooked.
  8. Remove and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
