Broiled Flounder Recipe
- 1 x flounder, gutted & scaled butter garlic, minced lemon pepper onion, sliced in rings sliced lemons
- Place flounder on greased tin foil (cookie sheet underneath).
- Set broiler at 225 degrees, and broil flounder for 10 min.
- In a saucepan, heat sufficient butter to cover flounder, and add in minced garlic and lemon pepper.
- After flounder has broiled for 10 min, cover it with onion rings, then pour butter mix over all.
- Broil 12 more min and serve with sliced lemon.
- For those of you who haven't eaten flat fish, use a metal spatula to pull fins away from the outside.
- Using your spatula again, slice fish down the middle and pull to each side.
- This will leave the bones exposed.
- Simply lift the bones out gently and they will come out in one piece, leaving a fillet on bottom.
- You may cook a flounder with its head on, although you may want to talk to someone about this later.
