Smothered Cabbage Wedges Recipe

  1. In large skillet, cook cabbage wedges in small amount of boiling salted water till tender, about 12 min.
  2. Drain well.
  3. Placed cooked cabbage wedges in 9 x 13 inch pan.
  4. In saucepan, cook green pepper and onion in butter till tender, not brown.
  5. Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
  6. Add in lowfat milk all at once; cook and stir till mix thickens and bubbles.
  7. Pour over cabbage; bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 20 min.
  8. Combine mayonnaise, cheese and chili sauce; spoon atop wedges.
  9. Bake 5 min more.
