Sweet Potato and Celery Salt and Butter Flavored Kinpira
- 200 grams Japanese sweet potato (Naruto Kintoki variety)
- 1 stalk Celery
- 1/2 Carrot
- 10 grams Butter
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 Toasted white sesame seeds
- Cut the ends of the sweet potato and cut into matchsticks.
- Soak in a bowl of water.
- Cut the celery and carrot into matchsticks too.
- Melt the butter in a frying pan.
- Add the well drained sweet potato and stir fry.
- When the butter is well distributed, add the celery and carrot and stir fry quickly.
- Sprinkle in the sake and cover with a lid.
- Take the lid off after 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add salt and stir fry.
- Drizzle in the soy sauce on the hot surface of the pan, mix in and turn off the heat.
- Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- (I also sprinkled on some celery leaves.)
