Fido's Favourite Food

  1. Fetch 2 bowls 1 small and 1 big.
  2. In the small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm H2O.
  3. In the big bowl combine broth, powdered cow juice, bacon grease, honey, cackleberry and sodium chloride.
  4. Add the yeast/ H2O mixture and mix well.
  5. Stir in flour, cornmeal, wheat germ, crumbled bacon and oatmeal; mix well.
  6. Add whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  7. Using your front paws, knead in the final amounts of flour and continue kneading for 4 or 5 minutes until dough is not sticky if you are a Pekinese or other small breed, you may need to ask the local Retriever or Shepherd to help you with this stage.
  8. Pat or roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut into bone shapes.
  9. Don't worry if you leave paw prints in the dough.
  10. Place them on greased cookie sheet (s), cover lightly and let set for 20 minutes.
  11. Bake in a 350-degree Fidoheit oven for 45 minutes.
  12. While they are baking, take a quick stroll around the neighbourhood to see if any dehydrated looking fire hydrants need to be watered or, if you are female, just go bark at the neighbours for a bit.
  13. Turn off the oven and leave the biscuits to cool and harden in the oven for several hours or overnight.
