Victorian Applesauce Cake Recipe

• 2 c. sifted cake flour
• 1 1/2 c. sugar
• 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
• 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 tbsp. cocoa
• 1/2 teaspoon each: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, allspice
• 1/2 c. Crisco
• 1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
• 2 Large eggs, unbeaten

1. Add in:

cake flour, sugar, soda, salt, cocoa, cinnamon, crisco, unsweetened applesauce, eggs
