Easy Chicken and Cabbage in Tomato Sauce
- 2 Chicken thigh meat
- 1/3 to 1/2 Cabbage
- 2 Onions
- 1 can Canned crushed tomatoes
- 2 clove Garlic
- 2 tsp Soup stock granules
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 can Water
- 1 ro your liking Grated cheese
- Cut the chicken thigh to bite sized pieces and chop the onions roughly.
- Tear the cabbage leaves into bite sized pieces.
- Heat olive oil in a pot and add the crushed garlic.
- Cook over low heat.
- When the ingredients from step 2 are fragrant, add the onion and saute until wilted.
- Add the meat.
- After the chicken browns, add the canned tomatoes.
- Measure one can of water using the empty tomato can and pour into the pot!
- Add the soup stock granules and simmer over medium heat.
- Cook until the sauce in Step 4 reduces by half, and season with salt and pepper.
- When the sauce has reduced, add the cabbage and cook slightly, and it's done.
- Enjoy the crunchy texture of the cabbage.
- I tried baking the leftover meat with some cheese.
- Good for bentos.
