Easy Chicken and Cabbage in Tomato Sauce

  1. Cut the chicken thigh to bite sized pieces and chop the onions roughly.
  2. Tear the cabbage leaves into bite sized pieces.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pot and add the crushed garlic.
  4. Cook over low heat.
  5. When the ingredients from step 2 are fragrant, add the onion and saute until wilted.
  6. Add the meat.
  7. After the chicken browns, add the canned tomatoes.
  8. Measure one can of water using the empty tomato can and pour into the pot!
  9. Add the soup stock granules and simmer over medium heat.
  10. Cook until the sauce in Step 4 reduces by half, and season with salt and pepper.
  11. When the sauce has reduced, add the cabbage and cook slightly, and it's done.
  12. Enjoy the crunchy texture of the cabbage.
  13. I tried baking the leftover meat with some cheese.
  14. Good for bentos.
