Meatball Hoagie Braids

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Spray 2 cookie sheets with nonstick spray.
  3. Seperate crescent roll dough into 8 rectangles.
  4. Place on sprayed cookie sheets.
  5. Firmly press perforations to seal.
  6. Put 4 meatball halves lengthwise down center of each rectangle.
  7. Top each with 2 Tbsp of sauce and 2 Tbsp of mozzarella cheese, more if you like more cheese.
  8. With kitchen shears or a sharp knife, make cuts 1 inch apart on each side of filling.
  9. Alternately cross strips over filling.
  10. Brush dough with beaten egg.
  11. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  12. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
