Glazed Orange Drop Cookies
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 to 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 14 orange-flavored fruit slices, cut into thirds, if desired
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Combine brown sugar and butter in bowl.
- Beat at medium speed until creamy.
- Add sour cream, 1/4 cup orange juice, egg, orange zest and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.
- Add flour, baking powder and baking soda; beat at low speed until well mixed.
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto parchment-lined cookie sheets.
- Bake 11-12 minutes or until set.
- Cool completely.
- Stir together powdered sugar and enough orange juice in bowl for desired glazing consistency.
- Glaze each cooled cookie; top with fruit slice, if desired.
