American Haroset Recipe

  1. Core and quarter the apples.
  2. Put the apples in a food processor with the remaining ingredients.
  3. Process in pulses, leaving a bit of a crunch to the mix.
  4. Adjust seasoning.
  5. Yield: about 5 c..
  6. Note:In Shreveport, Louisiana, 95-year-old Isabelle Goldman uses sherry as her wine and adds raisins.
  7. Her recipe came from Alsace in the 1830's.
