Chocolate Pecan (Or Walnut) Pie
- 2 eggs
- 1 12 cups light corn syrup
- 4 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- In large bowl, stir together 2 eggs, slightly beaten, 1 1/2 cups Karo Light corn syrup, 4 (1 oz.)
- squares of melted, semi-sweet chocolate, 2 tablespoons melted margarine, 2 tablespoons corn starch, 1 teaspoons vanilla and 1/8 teaspoons salt.
- Stir in 1 cup chopped nuts.
- Pour into an unbaked 9 pie pastry shell.
- Bake in 350 oven for 45 minutes (do not overbake.
- Filling should be slightly less set in center.)
- Cool.
