Southern Pecan Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350*.
  2. Grease 9" square baking pan.
  3. If desired line with foil.
  4. Combine 1 cup flour and 1/4 cup powdered sugar in small bowl.
  5. With pastry blender cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Stir in 1/2 cup pecans.
  7. Press evenly into bottom of pan.
  8. Bake 15 min or until light golden brown; cool completely on wire rack.
  9. Whisk eggs in medium bowl until combined.
  10. Whisk in all remaining filling ingredients except pecans.
  11. Pour over cooled crust; sprinkle with 1 cup pecans.
  12. Bake 25 to 30 min or until puffed and golden brown.
  13. Cool in pan on wire rack.
  14. Meanwhile, combine 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1 tbsp water in small bowl.
  15. If glaze is too thick, add additional water.
  16. Drizzle over bars.
