Cajun Frog Fry Recipe
- 10 x Frog legs
- 2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Onion pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Grnd cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp Freshly-grnd black pepper Salt to taste
- 1/2 c. Flour
- 1 pch White pepper
- 1 pch Oregano
- 1 pch Rosemary
- 1 c. Shortening
- 1 x Garlic clove sliced
- Skin and rinse legs well.
- Cover with whole lowfat milk in a plastic mixing bowl, chill overnight.
- Pat dry, season with paprika, onion pwdr, cayenne, black pepper and desired amount of salt.
- Add in white pepper, oregano, and rosemary to the flour.
- Heat shortening in a skillet, saute/fry sliced garlic.
- Lightly flour the legs and fry till golden brown-brown.
- Mashed potatoes, brown gravy, corn on the cob and coleslaw are my favorites with this meal.
- Comments: These critters are considered a delicacy around our house.
- We also have a blast rounding up family and friends for a fun filled night of frog-gigging.
