Smooth Mocha Granita

  1. Bring water and sugar to boil in medium saucepan on medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 min.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add chocolate.
  5. Beat with whisk until melted.
  6. Stir in coffee.
  7. Pour into bowl.
  8. Refrigerate several hours or until chilled.
  9. Pour into ice cream or sorbet maker.
  10. Freeze following manufacturer's directions.
