  1. Make the syrup: Combine the sugar, cinnamon and 1 cup water in a small pan over medium heat.
  2. Let simmer about 15 minutes.
  3. Strain.
  4. Allow syrup to cool before using.
  5. (Can be refrigerated.)
  6. Mix the drink: In a shaker with ice, put 3/4 ounce of the cinnamon syrup with the apple brandy, lemon juice, liqueur and allspice dram.
  7. Shake.
  8. Double strain into chilled cocktail glass.
  9. Dust with nutmeg.
