Caramel Apple Porkchops
- 4 whole 3/4" Thick Pork Chops
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 dash Pepper
- 3 teaspoons Olive Oil
- 3 Tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoons Pumpkin Or Apple Pie Spice
- 2 whole Golden Delicious Apples, Peeled, Cored, And Sliced
- 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees (F).
- Place a baking dish in the oven, and place a pan on the stove.
- Start heating the pan on medium-high.
- Salt and pepper both sides of your pork chops.
- Pour the olive oil (I eyeballed mine) into your preheated pan.
- Place your pork chops into the oil.
- Brown on both sides you just want some color on each side of the meat, you arent looking to fully cook the pork on the stove top.
- While your pork is browning, in a bowl, throw together the brown sugar, the pie spice, and the apples.
- Stir, stir, stir until well mixed.
- Pull out your (now hot!)
- baking dish.
- Place your browned pork chops in it, and top with the apple mixture.
- Top the apples with the butter.
- (About 1 tablespoon per chop.)
- Bake in the oven for about 10- 15 minutes.
- It wont take long to finish cooking through.
