Cherry-Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream

  1. Puree cherries in processor until almost smooth but some small pieces remain.
  2. Transfer to bowl.
  3. Add kirsch and let stand at room temperature 1 hour.
  4. Place ice cream in large bowl.
  5. Stir in cherry mixture and chocolate.
  6. Cover and freeze until firm, about 4 hours.
