Sausage Sage Dressing Recipe
- 1 (14 ounce.) pkg. sage bread cubes
- 3 slices bread, cubed
- 1 c. butter
- 4-6 med. onions, minced
- 1 pound sage flavored pork sausage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 c. shredded carrots
- 3 c. chicken broth
- 1 c. half and half
- Butter bottom of 4 qt casserole dish.
- Saute/fry onions in butter till soft.
- Add in sausage and brown.
- Add in remaining ingredients to sausage/onion mix and mix well.
- Bake with top for 35 to 40 min at 350 degrees.
- Remove top and allow top of casserole to brown, if you like, for an additional 5 - 10 min.
- Serves 12.
