White Chocolate Peppermint Cookies
- 34 cup crisco golden all- vegetable shortening
- 12 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 12 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 1 34 cups all-purpose flour
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 34 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 14 cup crushed peppermint candy canes or 14 cup peppermint candy
- Preheat oven to 350F Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat shortening, brown sugar, granulated sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl of electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
- Beat in egg.
- Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
- Mix into shortening mixture at low speed just until blended.
- Stir in white chocolate chips.
- Shape into 1-inch balls.
- place 2-inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Do not overbake.
- Immediately sprinkle with about 1/4 teaspoons crushed candy.
- Cool 2 minutes.
- Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
