White Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350F Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat shortening, brown sugar, granulated sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl of electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  3. Beat in egg.
  4. Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
  5. Mix into shortening mixture at low speed just until blended.
  6. Stir in white chocolate chips.
  7. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  8. place 2-inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
  9. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  10. Do not overbake.
  11. Immediately sprinkle with about 1/4 teaspoons crushed candy.
  12. Cool 2 minutes.
  13. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
