Chocolate Mousse Cake W/Cake Mix
- 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
- 3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 13 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 1 13 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares, melted
- 12 cup cold water
- 1 (4 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
- Preheat oven to 350F (175 degrees C).
- Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions for two 9-inch layers.
- Cool and remove from pans.
- In a large bowl, mix together sweetened condensed milk and melted chocolate.
- Gradually stir in the water, then instant pudding until smooth.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove the chocolate mixture from the refrigerator, and stir to loosen.
- Fold in whipped cream and return to the refrigerator for at least another hour.
- Frost between layers and top and sides.
- Garnish, if you like.
