Meatball Stew

  1. Prepare basic meatballs except -- cook in a Dutch oven.
  2. Drain off excess fat.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and heat to boiling.
  4. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 40 minutes.
  5. Remove the bay leaf and serve.
