Eat a Whole Simple Chinese Cabbage Salad

  1. Roughly chop the cabbage (cut the big leaves lengthwise to start).
  2. Mix the ingredients marked and set aside.
  3. Boil the cabbage in plenty of water (boil the core for longer and boil the leaves quickly).
  4. Drain and when it's cool enough to handle, squeeze out the water.
  5. In a bowl, combine the cabbage from Step 2 and sprinkle in the ingredients marked .
  6. Set aside to chill.
  7. Squeeze out any excess water.
  8. Add mayonnaise and sesame seeds and mix well.
  9. Lastly, add the bonito flakes and toss with a pair of chopsticks.
