Big Batch Fudgy Brownies

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, 5-8 minutes or until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in sugar.
  4. Add sour cream, eggs and 2 teaspoons vanilla; mix well.
  5. Stir in flour and salt just until moistened.
  6. Spread batter into greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  7. Bake 20-25 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from sides of pan.
  8. (Do not overbake.)
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Melt chocolate chips and shortening in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, 3-5 minutes or until smooth.
  11. Stir in powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and enough milk for desired spreading consistency.
  12. Spread over cooled brownies.
  13. Cut into bars.
