Budget-Friendly Japanese Leek Hot Pot
- 2 Japanese leeks
- 200 grams Ground chicken breast
- 1/4 Onion
- 2 cm piece Ginger
- 1 Egg
- 50 grams Chicken cartilage
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Katakuriko
- 1 large Water
- 2 tbsp Chinese Chicken stock powder
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 2 cm piece Ginger
- 3 Red chili peppers
- Add the marked ingredients into a food processor and process until fully combined.
- Thinly slice the Japanese leeks diagonally.
- Add marked ingredients in a hot pot and bring to a boil.
- When boiling, shape the chicken mixture from Step 1 into small balls add to the pot.
- When the balls start to float, add the Japanese leeks!
- Cover with a lid and cook until the leeks are very soft.
- Enjoy with ponzu sauce.
- Add ra-yu (hot sesame oil) if you'd like.
