Turkey Sausage and Noodles
- 1 lb. fresh sweet or hot lean Italian turkey sausage links
- 1 tsp. oil
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tbsp. stick butter
- 2 package creamy chicken and noodles (such as Lipton Pasta Sides)
- 1 bunch broccolini, cut crosswise in thirds
- 1 pt. cherry tomatoes
- Prick sausages with a fork in several places.
- Put in a large nonstick skillet with 12 cup water, bring to a simmer, cover and cook 5 minutes; pour off liquid.
- Add oil to skillet; cook sausages over medium heat 5 minutes, turning as needed until browned and cooked through (instant-read thermometer inserted in center registers 170F).
- Remove to a plate.
- Add 3 cups water, the milk and butter to skillet.
- Bring to a boil, stirring to scrape up drippings in bottom of pan.
- Stir in both packages creamy chicken and noodles, and the broccolini.
- Return to a boil, cover and cook over medium to medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, 8 minutes or until noodles are soft.
- Slice sausages diagonally, add with tomatoes to pan, cover and let stand 3 minutes to warm (sauce will thicken).
