Date Kaak Recipe

  1. Mix flour, butter, sugar thoroughly.
  2. Add in mazzaher mahlab and anise seed and salt.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Dissolve yeast and baking pwdr in hot lowfat milk.
  5. Add in lowfat milk mix to flour mix.
  6. Mix and knead well.
  7. Add in sufficient lowfat milk till dough is hard, not sticky.
  8. Allow to rise 2-3 hrs.
  9. Cover with a towel.
