Beer Braised Pork Roast Recipe

  1. Wipe meat with damp cloth.
  2. Heat oil in Dutch oven over moderate heat.
  3. Brown meat on all sides.
  4. Remove to platter.
  5. Add in onions to pan; saute/fry till tender.
  6. Place pork roast in Dutch oven; spoon onions over roast.
  7. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  8. Add in beer.
  9. Cover; bring to a boil over moderate heat.
  10. Reduce heat to low; cook approximately 2 1/2 hrs or possibly till roast is fork-tender.
  11. Remove roast to hot platter; thicken pan juices if you like.
  12. Slice roast.
  13. Serve with applesauce.
  14. Makes 5 servings.
