shrimp soup
- 14 cup olive oil
- 12 cup flour
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 2 stalks celery, cut up
- 3 cloves garlic
- 6 cups water
- 2 fish bouillon cubes
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 14 teaspoon red pepper
- 12 teaspoon paprika
- 1 package frozen okra
- 1 package frozen shrimp
- rice (optional)
- saute onion, green pepper, celery, and garlic in oil and flour.
- add water, fish bouillon, tomatoes, worcestershire, black pepper, red pepper, and paprika.
- simmer for 10 minutes.
- add package of frozen okra.
- simmer 10 minutes.
- If desired, you can add some rice or barley at this point if you prefer a thicker soup.
- Add shrimp when ready to serve (to keep it from getting mushy) and simmer for 5 min (to warm it up).
