Vickys Creamy Garlic Mushrooms
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 450 grams white mushrooms, sliced or button mushrooms, halved
- 3 clove garlic, finely chopped or add to taste
- 4 tbsp cream cheese from my free-from link below
- 2 tsp finely chopped parsley, basil or tarragon
- Heat the oil in a pan over a medium heat and add the sliced mushrooms and garlic
- Cook until the mushrooms brown and release their liquid.
- If no liquid comes out add 2 tablespoons of water, vegetable stock or milk of choice
- Turn the heat down to medium low then add the cream cheese, chopped herbs and salt & pepper, stirring until a sauce forms.
- Don't turn the heat up too high or the sauce will split.
- Just heat it through
- Serve over toast, garlic bread, chicken, pork, steak or pasta
