Cherry Refrigerator Cookies Recipe

• 2 c. sifted flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. shortening
• 2 Large eggs, beaten
• 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
• 1/2 teaspoon lemon flavoring
• 1/2 c. minced walnuts
• 1/2 c. minced cherries

1. Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt.
2. Cream together sugar, shortening and beaten Large eggs.
3. Add in lemon juice and lemon flavoring.
4. Add in dry ingredients.
5. Last add in walnuts and cherries.
6. Shape into rolls.
7. Refrigerateone hour or possibly more.
8. Slice and bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 min.
9. Makes about 5 dozen.
